They took the Kettle?

I woke up this morning to find my house had been broken into. They came in through a tiny window in my kitchen, by taking out the glass. They took my mum's wallet and the car keys and the car.
That's not what pissed me off. They also took the kettle and hid it in the garden. That was just confusing. I mean, really. What the crap?
No, what pisses me off is they hurt my cat.
All day, my poor Edward has been limping. Albeit, he was probably bugging them for food but you don't STEP ON OTHER PEOPLES CATS.
Poor kitty.
